IFCO is delighted to announce to all its stakeholders that it has obtained Preferred by Nature Certification (PBNC) for its forest concession 018/11-ALIBUKU and its industrial processing plant in Kinkole, covering land management and chain of custody. This certification, which preserves the geolocation of products, is aligned with the EUDR!
IFCO is a company operating in Kinshasa and in the Tshopo province of the DRC, where its PBNC-certified forest concession 018/11 – Alibuku is located.
Obtaining Preferred by Nature Certification is the result of several years of sustained effort on the part of IFCO, which, since its creation, has aligned its operations with international standards of legality and traceability for timber.
By obtaining this certification, IFCO is contributing to the sustainable management of forests in the Congo Basin and setting an inspiring example for other forestry players in the Congo Basin, demonstrating that alignment with international standards is not only possible but also beneficial for local communities, the environment and nature, as well as the economy.
